The precursor to Bass House, Bassline, also referred to as Bassline House, is a subgenre of UK Garage music and House music that incorporates elements from various genres including Blues, Jazz, Funk, Dub and Electronic, Traditional, and Classical. It is characterized by the low-pitched instrumental part or line played by a rhythm section instrument such as the electric bass, double bass, cello, tuba, or keyboard.
