Tech House is a subgenre of House music that blends elements of Techno with House. The term Tech House was coined as a convenient label for a type of EDM that fused the characteristics of Techno, like "hard-hitting basslines" and "crisp beats", with the melodies and rhythms of Progressive House. Initially, the music featured a sleek and simplistic production style that was reminiscent of Techno from Detroit and the United Kingdom.
